FAQs

What areas do you service?

I live on Camano Island Washington, I service all of Seattle and the surrounding areas and beyond.

Do you prune other types of trees or shrubs?

Yes as an arborist, I have experience working most every type of native and ornamental tree species in the Pacific Northwest; I especially enjoy working on pines and anything that requires an artistic hand.

When is the best time to prune Japanese Maples?

When the sheers are sharp! Most times of year are fine depending on how much live canopy is removed. The ideal time for most pruning objectives is the summertime, but if the tree is in need of a heavier pruning then the winter is definitely recommended.

How often should my Japanese Maple be pruned?

Annually, in most many cases. But really, it depends upon personal taste and many conditions such as the site, vigor, health, annual growth and aesthetic goals. When trees become overgrown, the branch structure is lost within the dense foliage.

Who performs the work?

Only Maple Man. Unless the project is very large, all of the pruning work will be done by myself. I do not have employees so the quality remains consistent with a personal touch.
